just get a shorter barrel, and grab a sleeve to put on the butt of the gun that holds more shells, that's really all you need. your not going to be chasing.

I've had the Maverick 88 for over a year now and I love it. .. Any Mossberg sized forend and grip will fit onto the Maverick, just need to know. end up paying much more money trying to convert it and still have a lesser gun.

Hey all, i saw on my local gun stores they have a Maverick 88 on sale for $199 with a regular price of $239.. I believe the mav 88's forend is permanently molded to the slide .. Makes it a little bit of a pain to swap forends.
